About SAM

SAM is a remote controlled talking ambulance (whose name stands for Safety Always Matters) that is very effective when teaching children about safe indoor and outdoor play, seat belt use, helmet and bicycle safety, and calling 9-1-1. Children with correct answers to safety questions are rewarded with SAM's lights and siren, or his special dance.

Children are thrilled to see SAM flash his lights and "wink" at them. SAM even relates to the children in their own terms...no one likes getting "owies."SAM is willing to adapt his teachings with the topics teachers and caregivers would like to have addressed. Just feel free to ask one of his paramedic helpers that will be present.
