| Dr. Richard Rosenthal has been the Medical Director for Johnson County Med-Act since February 2000. As Medical Director, Dr. Rosenthal is responsible for overseeing the medical performance of Med-Act Paramedics. He is greatly involved in their continual growth and development through various means. Dr. Rosenthal reviews patient reports both individually and in group form via the Chart Audit Group. Each review forum allows for critiques of patient care performed by the paramedics in the field. Dr. Rosenthal graduated with a B.S. from the University of Illinois in 1972. He graduated medical school from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1976, and did his residency in Emergency Medicine at Truman Medical Center in 1979. Dr. Rosenthal has been Board Certified as an Emergency Medicine Physician for the past 25 years. He currently serves as the Chairman for the Providence Medical Center Emergency Department in Kansas City, Kansas; has been the oral examiner for the Board of Emergency Medicine for the past fifteen years and practices as a physician for the Overland Park Medical Center Emergency Department, in Overland Park, Kansas. Dr. Rosenthal states his goal is to, "Maintain the highest standard of medical care available in the pre-hospital setting."
